English translation
The seller shall be bound by the warranty in accordance with the provisions of Article 485 if, at the time of sale, the thing sold has a defect that diminishes its value or usefulness according to its intended purpose, as inferred from what is stated in the contract or what is apparent from the nature of the thing sold or the purpose for which it was prepared.

يكون البائع ملزما بالضمان وفقا لأحكام المادة ٤٨٥, إذا كان بالمبيع وقت البيع
عيب ينقص من قيمته أو من نفعه بحسب الغاية المقصودة منه مستفادة ممـا هـو
