Article 499 of Civil Code

1 - If the seller guarantees the fitness of the thing sold for operation for a specified period, and a malfunction appears in the thing sold during that period, the buyer must notify the seller of that malfunction within one month of its appearance. 2 - If the seller does not repair the malfunction, the buyer may request rescission with compensation or retain the thing sold and request compensation for the harm he has suffered because of the malfunction. In both cases, the action must be brought within six months from the date of notifying the seller of the existence of the malfunction. All this applies unless otherwise agreed. 2 - Obligations of the Buyer
