Article 619 of Civil Code

1 - The leased land shall be exploited in the agreed manner. If there is no agreement, the lessee shall exploit it according to its nature and prevailing agricultural custom and shall, in particular, ensure that it remains fit for production. 2 - He may not, without the lessor's consent, introduce any substantial change in the method followed in its exploitation whose effect extends beyond the expiry of the lease.
