Article 734 of Civil Code

The guest must notify the hotel proprietor of the theft, loss, or damage of a thing as soon as he discovers it. If he delays notification without reasonable cause, the hotel proprietor shall not be liable if he proves that, had he been notified in due time, he could have avoided the damage. 2 - The guest's action against the hotel proprietor shall be time-barred upon the expiry of six months from the time he leaves the hotel.
