English translation
At any stage of the proceedings, the judge may, of his own motion, direct a supplementary oath to either litigant in order to base upon it his judgment on the merits of the case or on the value of the award. The direction of this oath is conditional upon there being no complete evidence in the case and upon the case not being devoid of any evidence. The litigant to whom this oath is directed may not refer it back to the other litigant.
