English translation
Every judgment issued by the Criminal Court imposing the death penalty shall be referred by the court, of its own motion, to the High Court of Appeal. Referral shall take place within one month from the date of issuance of the judgment if no appeal against it has been lodged by the convicted person. In this case, the High Court of Appeal shall exercise all the rights vested in it when hearing an appeal.

كل حكم صادر من محكمة الجنايات بعقوبة الإعدام، تحيله المحكمة من تلقاء نفسها
إلى محكمة الاستئناف العليا، وتكون الإحالة في ظرف شهر من تاريخ صدور الحكم
إذا لم يكن قد رفع عنه استئناف من جانب المحكوم عليه.
