If a woman appoints a man as her agent to contract her marriage, he may not marry her to himself unless she expressly states that the authorization is general, or her words, according to customary understanding, manifest generality such that they include him personally.

إذا وكلت المرأة رجلاً في تزويجها فليس له أن يزوجها من نفسه إلا إذا صرحت
