Article 237 of Jaafari Personal Status Law

If the conditions set out in the preceding Article are fulfilled, the child's filiation to the acknowledging person is established, and all effects under Sharia, including inheritance, maintenance and others, shall follow. They shall arise between them and their children and all other classes, so that the child of the acknowledged person becomes a grandchild of the acknowledging person, the child of the acknowledging person becomes a sibling of the acknowledged person, and the father of the acknowledging person becomes a grandfather of the acknowledged person, and mutual inheritance shall occur among their blood relatives.
