English translation
In every matter for which no rule is provided in this Law, recourse shall be had to the well-known opinion in the school of Imam Malik. If no well-known opinion exists, another opinion shall be applied. If no rule exists at all, the general principles of the school shall be applied.

كل ما لم يرد له حكم في هذا القانون يرجع فيه الى المشهور في مذهب الامام مالك
فان لم يوجد المشهور طبق غيره ، فان لم يوجد حكم اصلا ، طبقت المبادئ العامة
