Article 70 of Personal Status Law

a- A guarantee of the dower is valid when given by a person competent to make a gratuitous disposition, provided it is accepted during the session, even implicitly. b- The wife may claim against the husband, the guarantor, or both together. The guarantor may have recourse against the husband if he gave the guarantee with his permission. c- A guarantee given during the guarantor's death illness is subject to the rules governing a testamentary disposition.
