Article 18 of Audiovisual Media Law

The Felony Circuit of the Court of First Instance shall be the court competent to hear all criminal proceedings provided for in this Law, and its judgments shall be appealed before the Court of Appeal. By way of exception to the provisions of Article Eight of Law No. 40 of 1972 concerning the Cases and Procedures for Challenges before the Court of Cassation, judgments issued by the Court of Appeal may be challenged by way of cassation before the Court of Cassation.
