Article 21 of Tenancy Law

Except in the cases stipulated in clauses - 1, 2, 3, 5 and 11 - of the preceding Article, the judge may, when ordering eviction pursuant to the provisions of that same Article, grant the tenant an appropriate period for implementing the judgment, not exceeding six months. The tenant's occupation of the leased premises during the eviction grace period shall be without charge. If the aforementioned eviction grace period is less than six months, compensation shall be awarded to the tenant in an amount completing the rent for that period. However, with respect to the two cases stipulated in clauses 6 and 7 of the aforementioned Article, compensation shall be awarded to the tenant as follows: a - An amount completing six months' rent if the eviction grace period is less than six months. b - If the period of the tenant's enjoyment of the leased premises exceeds six years, the tenant shall be awarded - in addition to the compensation stipulated in clause - a - an amount equivalent to one month's rent for each additional year, not exceeding six months' rent. The eviction grace period and the amount of compensation stipulated in this Article may be amended by decree.
