Article 285 of Kuwaiti Penal Code

Any debtor who disposes of his property or rights at a price or value substantially below that at which they are traded in the markets, intending thereby not to pay debts established against him by an enforceable instrument, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years and a fine not exceeding three thousand dinars, or either of these two penalties. The effect of payment of the debt, settlement or pardon provided for in Article (283) shall apply to the accused under this Article.
