Article 8 of Small Claims Law

The court may not adjourn the hearing of the action except where necessary and for a period not exceeding one week, and adjournment for the same reason may not occur more than once. Article 9 (1) The judgment shall be issued containing a brief statement of the facts and a summary of its reasons and shall be enforceable by operation of law. The judgment need not contain reasons if all the plaintiff's claims are granted and the defendant has been served in the action and has not submitted a defence memorandum. A judgment refusing an award of lawyers' fees shall not be considered a rejection of some of the claims within the meaning of the preceding paragraph.
