Article 3 of National Workforce Law

The Government shall pay citizens practising professions and crafts, and those working in all entities, a social allowance and an allowance for his children. The Council of Ministers shall, upon the Council’s proposal, issue decisions regulating this. These decisions shall determine the amount of each of the two aforementioned allowances, the conditions of entitlement thereto, the professions, crafts, work, and entities to which it applies, and the period during which the Government shall continue to pay them, provided that the children’s allowance shall be fifty dinars for each child up to the seventh child)*( . All of the foregoing is without prejudice to the acquired rights of workers in government entities before the promulgation of this Law with respect to their entitlement to a social allowance and a children’s allowance.
