Article 40 of Code of Civil Procedure

If the action seeks validation, annulment or rescission of a contract, its value shall be assessed according to the value of the subject matter of the contract. For exchange contracts, the action shall be valued according to the greater of the two exchanged considerations. If the action seeks validation, annulment, rescission or termination of a continuing contract, the assessment shall be based on the total monetary consideration for the entire term of the contract. If the said contract has been partly performed, the action for its rescission shall be valued according to the remaining term. If the action seeks eviction from or delivery of real property, the assessment shall follow the rules set out in the preceding paragraph. An action for extension of the contract shall be valued according to the monetary consideration for the period to which the disputed extension of the contract relates.
