Article 14 of Law Regulating the Installation and Use of Security Cameras

Without prejudice to any more severe penalty prescribed by another law, anyone who intentionally abuses or defames another by capturing or extracting one or more images or video clips from recordings, or publishing them, using the cameras and security surveillance devices provided for in this Law shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years and not less than two years and a fine of not less than two thousand dinars and not more than ten thousand dinars, or by either of these two penalties. The penalty shall be imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years and not less than three years and a fine of not less than three thousand dinars and not more than twenty thousand dinars, or either of these two penalties, if the acts referred to in the preceding paragraph are accompanied by threats or extortion, or involve exploiting the image or video clip taken from them, by any means, to offend decency or impugn honour.
