Article 15 of Environmental Protection Law

The Fund shall be responsible for the following: 1 - Establishing projects aimed at protecting the environment and its resources and preserving its natural balance. 2 - Supporting efforts to contain environmental disasters and crises. 3 - Establishing projects to rehabilitate damaged sites in the State. 4 - Encouraging the transition towards a green economy and sustainable development. 5 - Supporting investment in environmental science and technology and developing national personnel to work in this field. 6 - Supporting investment in the environmental education sector and establishing educational and awareness centres connected with environmental fields. 7 - Supporting special environmental studies and research related to the Fund's projects. 8 - Supporting official environmental civil society institutions and working to encourage the participation of the remaining civil society institutions operating in non-environmental fields, in a manner enabling them to promote participation in environmental protection, each according to its competence.
