Article 12 of Anti-Corruption Law

The Authority shall have an executive apparatus that handles technical, administrative and financial matters as follows: 1 - The President shall supervise the executive apparatus and represent the Authority before the courts and third parties, without prejudice to the provisions of Amiri Decree No. 12 of 1960 concerning the Law Regulating the Department of Legal Advice and Legislation of the Government of Kuwait. 2 - The Authority shall have a Secretary General and Assistant Secretaries appointed by a decision of the President, and they shall be accountable to him for managing and conducting the daily activities of the executive apparatus. The internal regulations shall specify their duties and powers. 3 - The Authority shall select its employees transparently from among persons possessing experience, competence, integrity and scientific specializations, in accordance with the criteria specified in the internal regulations. No kinship up to the second degree may exist between any of them and the Chairman, Deputy Chairman or members of the Board of Trustees. 4 - In carrying out its duties, the Authority may seek the assistance of such judges, members of the Public Prosecution, employees of government agencies and others as it deems appropriate. They shall be seconded to work for it in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in this regard.
