Article 27 of Anti-Corruption Law

Subject to the provisions of Law No. 88 of 1995 concerning the Trial of Ministers, the Public Prosecution alone shall have competence to investigate, dispose of, and prosecute all offences provided for in this Law and related offences. Without prejudice to Article (9) of the aforementioned Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials, the Authority may undertake the necessary preliminary inquiries and hear statements to ascertain the seriousness of reports it receives or instances of financial and administrative corruption it discovers, in preparation for taking the appropriate decision regarding their disposal, whether by shelving them or referring them to the competent investigating authority.
