Article 5 of Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Law

A- Members of the Authority's Board of Directors or its employees may not, during their membership or employment therein, nor may any of their first-degree relatives, have any direct or indirect benefit or interest connected with investment in the telecommunications sector, or any other interest conflicting with their positions or employment therein. All employees of the Authority shall be subject to the aforementioned Decree No. 24 of 2012. B- Members of the Authority's Board of Directors and its employees are prohibited, during their period of service with the Authority, from undertaking any work, consultancy service or the like, for their own account or for the account of others, relating to the telecommunications sector in the State and falling outside the scope of the tasks and duties they perform for the Authority. Nor may any of them undertake such work or service within six months from the date of leaving service, except with the approval of the Council of Ministers in respect of members of the Board of Directors, and the approval of the Chairman of the Authority in respect of the Authority's employees. Any employer is prohibited from employing, or assigning any work or service to, any member of the Authority's Board of Directors or its employees in violation of this Article.
