Its consequence is that Ja‘fari jurisprudence governs the facts of the action. - It is established in the Ja‘fari school that the child belongs to the marital bed. A man may not deny one born in his marital bed. Its condition. - The husband’s claim of marriage to a woman who confirms him, and the woman’s claim of marriage to a man who confirms her: judgment is rendered in their favor accordingly. A claim by one of them and denial by the other. Its effect. Proof rests upon the claimant and the oath upon the denier.
