Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 1086

State of Kuwait · Criminal Procedure · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The trial court may sever the accused's admission. An admission need not cover the offence in all its elements. - It suffices that it concern facts from which the court infers proof of his commission of the offence. - The judgment's error in calling the accused's admission a confession. Does not vitiate it so long as it did not attach to it the legal effect of a confession.
