State of Kuwait · Criminal Procedure · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

Expressly claiming influence. Unnecessary. It suffices that the perpetrator's conduct implicitly involves a claim by him. - The perpetrator's claim of influence with a judge and request for money on the basis of this alleged influence. Sufficient to establish the crime of soliciting a bribe for a public official and exploiting influence. An example of reasonable reasoning in answering the plea that Article 37 of Law 31 of 1970 amending the provisions of the Penal Code is inapplicable.
