Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 1793

State of Kuwait · Criminal Procedure · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The ancillary nature of the civil action to the criminal action. Its effect. It is governed by the same rules regarding the conduct of the trial, judgments and challenges thereto in terms of procedures and time limits. The Procedure Law does not apply to it except to fill a gap. This is not altered by the dispute being confined to the civil action alone.
