English translation of the principle

Determining the existence of intent in possessing or physically holding narcotics. A matter of fact, provided it is reasonable. - The smallness or largeness of the quantity of narcotics and whether it is sufficient for personal use are relative matters subject to the court's assessment. - The judgment rejecting the appellant's defence that he lacked intent to traffic because it was satisfied with the investigations of the officer involved in the incident and the large quantity of narcotics seized, and not relying, in ascertaining that intent, on the seizure of tools used to divide narcotics. The challenge to it in this respect is misplaced. - 317 - Penal Law
