Its repeal of preceding legislation in respect of military personnel subject to its provisions and of every provision contrary to those provisions. Its necessary consequence. The criterion for a retirement pension under this Law is the termination of service upon the conditions and controls set out therein, through the existence of one of the grounds exhaustively specified in its second article. Absence of those grounds. Its effect. Entitlement only to a retirement gratuity for a person whose service was terminated after this Law came into force. Example concerning a claim for a retirement pension for non-Kuwaiti military personnel.
