Assessment of compensation. Within the trial judge's authority, unless a provision requires him to follow particular criteria, and provided his assessment rests on sound grounds. - Compensation for moral damage. Must be in an amount that consoles the injured person and ensures restoration of his standing, without exaggeration or excess. Smallness of the compensation amount. Does not vitiate the assessment so long as it symbolizes its purpose.
