English translation of the principle

Intervention in an action. Its means. The ordinary procedures for instituting an action before the hearing date, or an application made orally at the hearing in the presence of the litigants and recorded in its minutes. Contravention thereof. Its effect is absolute nullity. The reason therefor. - A judgment declaring the intervener's application inadmissible does not make him a party to the action or to the judgment rendered therein, and he has no right to challenge that judgment. He is considered to have had judgment rendered against him on the application to intervene and may appeal the judgment declaring his intervention inadmissible.
