Interruption of proceedings. Its purpose. Avoiding procedural steps being taken without the litigants' knowledge. That purpose is achieved by serving the litigant in his personal capacity after the capacity of the person representing him during the hearing of the action has ceased. Its effect. The court may continue hearing the action without ruling that the proceedings are interrupted. The condition therefor. Verification that the litigant has been served in his personal capacity. - 41 - Civil Procedure

انقطاع سير الخصومة. الغاية منه. تفادى اتخاذ إجراءاتها في غفلة من الخصوم. تحقق تلك الغاية بإعلان الخصم بصفته الشخصية بعد زوال صفة من كان يمثله أثناء نظر الدعوى. أثره. للمحكمة أن تستمر في نظر الدعوى دون أن تقضى بانقطاع سير الخصومة. شرط ذلك. التحقق من إعلان الخصم بصفته الشخصية. - ٤١ - المرافعاتOriginal Arabic judgment citations
