Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 1542

State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Three · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

An appellate judgment is not defective for omitting reference to the reasons of the first-instance judgment which it merely ruled to modify. It suffices to state the reasons necessitating the modification, and what the modification does not cover is deemed affirmed by the appealed judgment.
