Hearing the appeal at a hearing other than that specified in its petition, without the appellant's attendance or knowledge. Effect. The action must be adjourned to a subsequent hearing of which the registry serves notice upon him. Contravention thereof. Effect. Nullity of the judgment, requiring its cassation. Example.
