Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 4256

State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Three · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The decision issued by the Court of Appeal assessing a lawyer’s fees—in the absence of a written agreement on their amount—is not subject to challenge. This means: challenging the decision by a petition for reconsideration does not permit a cassation appeal against the judgment issued on that petition.
