English translation of the principle
Summary: - Criminal courts are not bound by judgments issued by civil courts. Rule: It is established that criminal courts are not bound by judgments issued by civil courts. The challenged judgment expressed the court's satisfaction that the offense of using a document that had lost its legal force, of which it convicted the appellant, was established on the basis of the sound evidence it adduced as previously explained. There is therefore no basis for the appellant's objection that Judgment No. ..... of 2012, Civil/4, is under appeal by cassation in Case No. 691 of 2013.
