Article 1082 of Civil Code

1 - If co-owners partition immovable property held in common among them, each one's right of recourse against the others by reason of the partition and to recover any equalization payment awarded to him therein shall be secured by a privilege over all the separate shares allotted to the other co-owners. 2 - This privilege must be entered, and its rank shall date from the time of entry.
