Article 1081 of Civil Code

1 - Amounts due to contractors and engineers entrusted with constructing buildings or structures Law Index 1086 Home Page Civil Code Decree-Law No. 67 of 1980 AD Promulgating the Civil Code or other structures, or reconstructing, restoring or maintaining them, shall have a preferential right over these structures to the extent of the increase attributable to these works in the value of the immovable property at the time of its sale. 2 - This preferential right must be registered, and its rank shall date from the time of registration, subject to the provisions of Article 977.
