Article 1078 of Civil Code

1 - The price and its accessories due to the seller of a movable shall have a preferential lien over the thing sold, and the preferential lien shall remain in existence as long as the thing sold retains its identity. This is without prejudice to rights acquired by third parties in good faith, subject to the special provisions concerning commercial matters. 2 - The preferential lien shall rank after the preferential liens mentioned in the preceding articles, but shall take priority over the lessor's preferential lien and the hotel proprietor's preferential lien if it is established that they knew of it when the thing sold was placed in the leased premises or the hotel.
