Article 142 of Civil Code

If, before becoming missing or absent, a person appointed an agent to administer his property, the court shall appoint that agent as curator if he meets the conditions required by law of a guardian; otherwise, in appointing the curator, it shall observe the provisions of the law concerning the curator of an interdicted person, particularly as regards the vesting of curatorship in the Department of Minors' Affairs in respect of Kuwaitis.
