English translation
1 - If the option of selection belongs to the debtor and one of the two things perishes in his possession, he may require the creditor to accept the second thing. If both perish, the obligation is extinguished. 2 - If the debtor is responsible for the destruction, even in respect of only one of the two things, he must pay the value of the last thing to perish.
