Article 387 of Civil Code

The creditor may not have recourse against the transferor unless recourse was stipulated in the transfer if collection of the debt from the transferee proves impossible, or if the restricted transfer is rescinded or becomes void through extinction of the debt, destruction of the specific property or its being adjudged to belong to another, in accordance with Articles 383, 384, 385 and 386.
