Article 514 of Civil Code

1 - Brokers, and except for experts, may not purchase, even under an assumed name, property entrusted to them for sale, valuation, or the performance of expert work concerning it. 2 - The contract shall be valid in these cases if approved by the person on whose account the sale was made.
