Article 646 of Civil Code

1 - The administrator may not, without the judge's permission, lease the endowment for a period exceeding three years, even under successive contracts. If a lease is concluded for a longer period, the period shall be reduced to three years. 2 - Nevertheless, if the administrator is the founder of the endowment or its sole beneficiary, he may, without the judge's permission, lease the endowment for a period exceeding three years, without prejudice to the right of his successor as administrator to request reduction of the period to three years.
