Article 644 of Civil Code

1 - If the founder of the waqf specifies the lease term, his stipulation shall be followed, and the administrator may not depart from it unless authorized Law Index 1026 Home Page Civil Code Decree-Law No. 67 of 1980 AD Promulgating the Civil Code to lease on terms more beneficial to the waqf. 2 - If no one wishes to lease the waqf for the term specified by its founder, or if leasing for longer than that term is more beneficial to the waqf, the administrator may, after obtaining the judge's permission, lease it for a longer term.
