Article 681 of Civil Code

1 - The contractor may entrust the execution of all or part of the work to a subcontractor if he is not prohibited from doing so by a contractual term or if the nature of the work makes the contractor's personal identity a material consideration. 2 - Subcontracting shall not affect the original contractor's obligations towards the employer, and he shall also be liable to the employer for the subcontractor's acts.
