Article 680 of Civil Code

1 - Neither contracting party may assign the contract for work without the other's consent, unless the contract contains a clause providing otherwise. 2 - If assignment takes place, the assignee shall replace the assignor in his rights and obligations. - The assignment shall not be effective against third parties unless the other contracting party is formally notified of it, or his consent to the assignment bears an established date.
