English translation
If the creditor agrees to receive from someone other than the surety another thing in exchange for the debt, the surety shall be discharged even if a third party establishes title to that thing, unless the creditor has reserved the right of recourse against the surety.

إذا قبل الدائن أن يستوفي من غير الكفيل شيئا آخر في مقابل الدين, برئت ذمة
الكفيل ولو استحق هذا الشيء, إلا إذا كان الدائن قد احتفظ بالحق في الرجوع على
