Article 939 of Civil Code

1 - The owner of a movable or bearer instrument, or the holder of a right in rem over it, may, if it is lost or stolen from him, recover it from anyone possessing it under a valid title and in good faith, within three years from the time of loss or theft. - If the possessor purchased the thing at a market or public auction or from a person who trades in things of its kind, he may require the person recovering it to pay him immediately the price he paid.
