Article 937 of Civil Code

1 - Whoever possesses, on the basis of a valid title, a movable or a bearer instrument, appearing in respect thereof as the owner or Law Index 1066 Home Page Civil Code Decree-Law No. 67 of 1980 AD promulgating the Civil Code the holder of another right in rem, and was in good faith at the time he took possession, shall become the holder of the right from the time of possession. 2 - If valid title and good faith existed on the part of the possessor in considering the thing free of encumbrances and restrictions in rem, he shall acquire the right free of them.
