English translation
Household books and papers shall not constitute evidence against the person who issued them except in the following two cases: First: If he expressly states therein that he has received payment of his debt. Second: If he expressly states therein that he intended what he recorded to take the place of an instrument for the person in whose favour he recorded a right. In both cases, if what is recorded is not signed by the person who issued it, he may prove the contrary by all means of proof.

لا تكون الدفاتر والاوراق المنزلية حجة على من صدرت منه الا في الحالتين الآتيتين:
أولا : إذا ذكر فيها صراحة انه استوفى دينه
ثانيا: إذا ذكر فيها صراحة انه قصد بما دونه ان يقوم مقام السند لمن اثبت حقا لمصلحته.
وفي الحالتين إذا كان ما ثبت من ذلك غير موقع ممن صدر منه جاز له اثبات عكسه
