English translation
Proof by witness testimony is not permissible, and not did not the value exceed five thousand dinars: First: In respect of anything contradicting or exceeding what is contained in written evidence. Second: If what is claimed is the remainder or a part of a right that may only be proved in writing. Third: If one of the litigants in the action claims something whose value exceeds five thousand dinars and then changes his claim to something not exceeding that value.

لا يجوز الاثبات بشهادة الشهود ولم لم تزد القيمة على خمسة آلاف دينار:
اولا: فيما يخالف او يجاوز ما اشتمل عليه دليل كتابي.
ثانيا: إذا كان المطلوب هو الباقي او جزء من حق لا يجوز اثباته الا بالكتابة.
ثالثا: إذا طالب أحد الخصوم في الدعوى بما تزيد قيمته على خمسة آلاف دينار ثم عدل
